Oldbailey Antiques
SOLD This is a large amulet with two holes for suspension and was most probably used as a chest piece (pectoral). The polish is so spectacularly well done that the piece feels as smooth as silk when held. The large central hole gently tapers on both sides. It measures a full 4" in length and is 2-1/2" in height. Roughly 1/8" thick. In color a varied green nephrite with a minimal residue of the polishing material remaining on the surface.

Sold, Thank you! A vibrant image of a gourd filled with colorful sages at play by Shigemori Yoko. The surrounding black ink is like a Zen painting, immediate and spontaneous; struck out in quick dramatic strokes. By comparison the dynamic figures contained within appear to be painted in light, leisurely strokes with daps of soft color. This is one of several ink and colored sketches we received from her estate and had mounted as scrolls. They play games, practice calligraphy, enjoy tea and conversation, one ...

The silver inlays are very numerous, but oxidized in black, they have become almost invisible, however they are clearly distinguishable on the enlargements. It would be easy to lighten them by ...
