Markings include Hasui's red chop and signature, Watanabe publisher seal in left margin (dated 1931-1941), titled in right margin.

$1250.00 This is a very fine small Japanese cloisonne vase done in the style of early Namikawa cloisonne pieces. This vase like Namikawa works has butterflies, high sheen mottled enamels and gilt wires. Even so we believe it was probably made by Honda. This heavy piece stands 4 3/4 inches and the condition is nearly mint.

Saishoin, Hirosaki Size: Oban. Approximately 15.5 x 10.5 inches. Signed and sealed by the artist. Date: 1936. Publisher: Watanabe Shozaburo. Bears the black 6 mm seal, indicating a lifetime edition printed between 1946-1957. Condition: Excellent front. On the back, two pieces of tape at margins and light toning.

Sold A functionary yumi rattan bow string holder is an essential munition of an archer. Material is wooven rattan in spool shape used to wrap sinew string, strapped with leather and horn. The horn contains powdered rosin used as dry lubrication. Mounted on a custom iron stand.

The example of cast bronze with a bore that is described as at the breach and the bore is reduced to a half round section to form a chamber for the powder mount for use. The gun would be imbedded into a wooded block such as the lower half of the barrel and the entire breach end is covered. Mounted on custom iron stand.
