A rare and complete group of an ox and carriage in grey pottery with remains of polychrome. China, Tang Dynasty (618-907). The result of the thermoluminescence test by Kotalla is consistent with the dating of this lot. The report is included in the sale. Dimensions: the carriage H. 32 cm, L. 23 cm, the ox H. 18 cm, L. 23 cm. Condition: very good, no visible repairs, although repairs on early pottery are quite common and accepted. Chinese hardwood coffer cabinet, with relief carvings throughout of floral motifs with pigments. The front of the cabinet holds three drawers, opened by brass pulls. The sides and apron of the cabinet are carved with openwork foliate scrolls.

Chinese Carving candle holder attendant, mounted on a gilt bronze French ormolu base. The heavenly attendant has original polychrome pigments of red, green, brown and beige and holds a long staff connected to the brass candleholder.
