Sold in our Liverpool Shop - April 2016 / 利 物浦店内售出 - 2016年4月 A very finely carved ivory okimono of a fisherman wearing a grass apron and carrying a basket containing a fish. Additionally (within the basket) is a small bound bundle of reeds or sticks. There is a small peg protruding from his right forearm (please view enlargement #12) indicating that something (possibly the bundle) might have been attached to it.
Carved on the base is an insect and the artist's signature, "Seimei".

sold thank you This is Rikushaku-kanban where cotton cloth spun by hand for Edo period was used for.
This cotton has the good feel. As for this, a crest is a letter of Kotobuki.
The letter of Kotobuki expresses words and a ceremony of the celebration. A letter and the pattern of the cross filler are dyed in Tsutsugaki. This has a stain in several places.

Sold A rare and wonderful Chinese porcelain bowl with beautiful glaze designs of cranes flying over crashing waters, each carrying a different object of auspicious nature, such as a lotus, a scroll, a fan, a sword, a gourd bottle, and a basket of fruit. Brightly multicolored clouds fill empty space between each bird. The inside of the bowl has a single crane flying over identical wave motifs with smoke clouds with minor wear. Excellent condition. Bears the seal of Jiaqing (1796-1820).

SOLD Antique Japanese large bronze suiban, or shallow dish for the display of viewing stones and small plants. The legs have been wonderfully casted to resemble gnarled vines, or perhaps a Buddha's hand citron fruit. One side of the suiban displays a raised dragon flying through incised winds. The other side shows two lounging tigers. The entirety of the suiban has a beautiful, natural patina due to antiquity.

Sold, Thank you! A pair of gold screens with bold shishi on genuine gold leaf. It is signed Miyauchi Gohogan Shinsai Fujiwara Morimichi sei and stamped Hogan Morimitsu no In. Each panel is 37-1/4 x 68-1/2 inches (94.5 x 174 cm). The screens have been restored, with some old repairs visible. These appear to be remounted from what is likely a different composition, possibly a set of fusuma doors.
