3 pieces Japanese Kutani Earthenware Tea Set, Ca. 1940's, consisting of Tea Pot(8" high), Sugar with cover(7 1/4" high), Creamer(5 1/2" high) with beautiful floral branches and bird flying between enclosed panels with overglazed brick red and brilliant green color on the crazed glaze. Tea pot spout is glued small piece together around 1/2" area, handle of Sugar bowl is glued together. Marked on the bottom "Great Japan Kutani made".

An oak leaf shaped moulded dish of six-sun size in “Ko Sometsuke” style decorated in underglaze blue with three seated figures sitting around a low table with a typical Chinese style landscape of mountainous islets in a costal setting with a Ting, small pavilion in the foreground. The reverse decorated with prunus blossom sprigs and a seal for the Kameyama kiln in the centre of the foot-ring. Dating late Edo, Tenpo era. Small wide mouth grey pottery jar with “soy” brown glaze from an unknown Southern Kiln. The glaze resembles Jizhou ware. Circa Song Dynasty or earlier, the body is quite thinly potted with delicate lugs near the mouth. There is fritting on the mouth and handle but no cracks or chips. H: 9cm/3.5in and D: 6cm/2.3in.

Japanese Wood and Staghorn Ojime, 19th C. Meiji period, 3/4" wide in the center widest part, 3/4" high, front and back is Staghorn, center is wood, round bead shape with deep carved lines, 2 holes on both side where cord go through between Netsuke and Inro.

Small tea or wine bowl, enameled in Famille rose colours with an auspicious cricket among flowers, the background a light greyish green. China, Tongzhi period, the base with some residue, possibly from an exportation seal. Height "1 ½ / 4 and diameter "2 ½/ 6 cm. Condition: fine.

Motoyama Izumi (b. 1938) Bizen Sake Bottle Tokkuri This Bizen stoneware sake bottle is made with natural ash glaze. The works of Motoyama Izumi are held in Brooklyn Museum in New York. Wood Sumikiri-bon with red urushi. Summikiri means a tray in the shape which four corners are cut. Four sides have painted in Negoro style which has partly black urushi. Used and some scratches and chips. Late 19th to early 20th century. 36.5cm x 36.5cm x 3.5cm

3 pieces trio set of Chinese Export Famille Rose Porcelain set, consist of the Tea Bowl, Saucer and a demitasse cup with handle, Ca. 1800, 5" diameter(saucer), 3" diameter and 1 3/4" high(tea bowl), 2 1/4" high and 3 1/8" wide include handle(demitasse cup), decorated overglaze gold and orange color of Initials "JMB" within pink floral drapes along the rim as well as inner circle, demitasse cup has restored chip on the rim, tea bowl and saucer are in good condition.

Beautiful lobed Kutani yaki dish in Yoshidaya style, modern. Decoration of camellia in white, aubergine, green, speckled yellow and gilt. The back with a character in gilt, possibly Qiu, meaning Autumn. It is also defined by Graesse in his classical work about pottery and porcelain marks as from the village of Shinomine in Arita. Diameter "6 ¼ / 16 cm, height "1 ¼ / 3 cm. Condition: fine.

A blue and white gravy jug or creamer, Chinese export porcelain, c 1830. The hand painted decoration of pagodas in a seascape is cut off on both sides of the handle, mimicking the competitive English porcelain factories, where this was an obvious downside of the new and rational method of printing. Width "5 ¼ / 13, height with handle "3 ½ / 9 cm. Condition: a glaze bubble under the spout (cf. last pic).

4 sheets of Chiyo-gami with autumn leaves designs which are woodblock prints. The paper is washi, a handmade paper made from mulberry fiber. Chiyo-gami was originated in Kyoto and developed in Edo later. It was used for paper dolls and paper crafts. Generally the larger one is the older.
