Possibly from Yueli are of Nandan county, this antique Chinese ethnic minority Miao top could have been worn for every day It has hand batiked front and back panels and the front apron has hand embroidery accents on the batiked section. Pic 1 shows the back with the "apron"extention which extends to the top of the knees... Pic 2 show the front which ends at the waist... Fits a small woman and I mean small or could be used as a striking wall piece...

Large Chinese Warring States Painted Pottery Jug

This very rare pottery vessel was made during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). It is "heavily-potted" with a sturdy handle and the mouth fashioned to form a pouring lip. It was originally painted with diagonal lines in white and orange-brown pigments, although only faint traces of this now remains. Chinese Yuan Dynasty Russet Glazed Jar (AD 1279 - 1368)

This small and "heavily-potted" jar was made during the Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Both inner and outer surfaces are coated in a thick russet-coloured glaze that has an almost "silvery" sheen to it.

Diameter 10 cm (4 inches). This jar is in very good condition. It does have what is clearly an ancient chip to the thick foot, but it is free from any restoration or repair.

Rare Chinese Ming Dynasty Monochrome Blue Porcelain Box

This rare porcelain box was made during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) in the mid to late 16th century. The outer surface is coated in a dark blue glaze whilst the inner surface is coated in a white glaze. To the base are thick globules of crawled blue glaze.

Diameter 8.5 cm. There are a few tiny "nibbles" to the sharp vulnerable edges and a short firing fissure to the edge of the cover that is only visible on the inner surface, but...

A rare large Chinese carved wooden figure of a Goldfish. The fish is covered with gold lacquer over a brown lacquer base. It has bulging black and white glass eyes, fins, scales, and a large fan shaped tail. The underside shows the brown lacquer base coat. The fish measures about 15" long x 6" wide at the broadest point of the tail, and it dates to the early 20th Century. Old Korean wood carving mold for making rice cake, with a carving of single Chinese character which seems to "Shadow". Also with a carving character of 'Uhm' as the name of owner and some unidentified characters at the backside. Early-Mid 20th century. approx. 27 x 6.5 x H 4.5cm (10.62 x 2.55 x 1.77in). Baby's ceremonial kimono made of Echigo-jofu which is hand-woven of choma (ramie) and dyed with indigo. The fine kasuri pattern is yoko-gasuri (weft kasuri) and bamboo, pine tree and plum bloom motifs. Echigo jofu was first woven asa kasuri in mainland Japan having been influenced by Ryukyu (Okinawan) kasuri. Lovely small meiping from Northern China, circa 1000CE- possibly Liao.. I have repaired it with epoxy and 23k gold leaf (wabi sabi kintsugi).
