A bulbous holy water vessel for sacred Ganges water used by pilgrims. Made of brass and copper, decorated with six avatars (incarnations) of Vishnu. Made in the technique known as "ganga-jumna" referring to the two great rivers of North India. From a Swiss lady's private collection. Condition: small quite invisible dents. Dimension: 13.4 cm high.

$380.00 Shigenobu (Hiroshige II) 1826-1869. The oban tate-e triptych depicts Minamoto no Yorimitsu, Sakata no Kintoki and Watanabe no Tsuna entering the mountain home of the demons. Circa 1851-1853.
Shigenobu was a pupil of Ando Hiroshige and adopted his name to become the second generation after his master's passing in 1858. Condition of these prints are faded, wrinkles - some creased, margins trimmed and uneven, light wormage and pin holes, light foxing and soil. As challenged as the condition sounds...

The front of the pouch is richly decorated with solid silver plaques that feature a foliage pattern and are studded with corals and turquoise. $380.00 This is Kyogen Hakama which the child of the rich civilian of Kyoto used for the Meiji period.
This has the crest that Kyogen is characteristic of the part of the waist. As for this, the whole is dyed with an indigo plant by Katazome. This has several places of thin dirts. And this has several places of extremely small holes. As for this, cotton is thin. Kyogen Hakama of the child is very rare.

This has a pattern and the family coat of arms of the peony butterfly. This is a pattern of the good luck. This has slight aging fading in three places, but there is not the damage.
