DESCRIPTION: An unusual and quite old (18th C.) copper box toggle in the form of a peach, the Chinese symbol of longevity. Probably used as both a toggle and tobacco container, the two halves have a tightly fitting overlapping seal, with two loops forming the hinge at the stem point. Fantastic tea bowl by Kingyoku Nakata, the best specialist of Chibu art, made 40 years ago.

This bowl is designed with a granular white painting called 'Shiro (white)-Chibu, which is very rare in Kutani. (Ao (blue)-Chibu was made more often. Please take a look on an Ao-Chibu Tea Bowl - our item # 0188)

This is a small nicely done Japanese Cloisonne vase with a gold wire butterfly. The enamel is of high quality and it appears like it could be a later Hayashi piece. It stands 3 3/4 inches tall and is in excellent condition. Just has come wear to silver on rims. It is not signed.

Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty blue and white porcelain snuff bottle featuring an elaborate hunting scene which includes animals such as wild boar, birds, deer, and a rabbit. Hunters are depicted on foot and riding horseback while shooting bows and arrows. In very good antique condition, no cracks, no hairlines. There are some minor abrasions or loss of glaze at around the rim which may have happened during firing. Height about 3 inches high.

Extraordinary Hagi Chawan made by Seigan Yamane. The bowl is covered with a wonderful draft ice glaze. Mint condition.
