A Chinese mirror mounted with an 19 century jade ruyi head plaque on the back and a belt hook as a handle.The former is finely carved with precious objects; the canopy, fish, vase of flowers, lotus and endless knot, the handle shows a dragon with lingzhi facing the chilong. A globular shaped Indian waterpipe base made of zinc alloy, the body decorated with vegetal motifs, inlaid in silver and brass. Condition: inlay losses, bottom with old repair. Dimension: 16.8 cm high, weight: 1160 g.

Description:

A Longquan celadon censer was uniquely in tripod form.
Uniquely also was the gourd body and the decorations on the surface.
The censer was heavily potted concerning it's size.
And it was fat-glazed.
The glaze was in slightly darken green tint.
Crackles and glaze fret were resulted due to age.
Supported stylized by three evert feet, it was presented as a beautiful item as a true old piece by all the characteristics revealed.

A large Shinshoku Ware-tsubo eroded through natural processes during firing with a shattered rim attached to the body at the shoulder. This piece is a virtual textbook on Yohen firing effects. Tamadare, Shinshoku, koge and other effects are supplanted by a large white kutsuki on the front, all under the shadow of the shattered rim fused to the shoulder. A large, heavy dish painted on the inside with prunus branches and blossom and with stylized bamboo to the reverse. This item was made for export in the 19th Century, possibly during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - very good - no damages and no restoration. 30cm (11.9inches0 diameter. Antique Chinese giant Coromandel Screen, 12 panels, intricately carved black lacquer depicting scenes of scholars and ladies, soldiers, noblemen and mythical beasts, painted and gilded details everywhere, reverse is carved with scholar objects and flower arrangements, Qing Dynasty 18th/19th century. Provenance: from the collection of Chris Jensen, Atherton, California. Size: 108" (9ft) high x 231.5" long (flat) (206" long standing).

Birds chatter, perhaps excited by the promise of Spring from the plum blossoms peeking out of a bamboo grove, winters snow melts and trickles through the stones in the stream belwo. A two panel screen, ink and light color on gold by Mizuta Chikuho (1883-1958). An excellent example of this artists Nanga style, the subject and rich wet lines of the bamboo crisp and direct, fading to washes of gray in the shadows. The screen measures 68 x 68 inches (172 x 173 cm) and is in fine condition.
