Antique Thai Iron Standing Buddha, early Ayutthaya period 14th century, heavy oxidation but still delightful. The right hand is raised from the elbow in Abhaya with the hand in Gyan mudra, the left is holding possible a sacred medicine ball. The figure is on tiered square stand, and stands in a thin delicate pose.

Fine Vietnamese 14th / 15th Century Moulded Bowl

This rare bowl was made during the 14th - 15th century and is coated in a finely-crackled yellowish-brown glaze, the depth of colour varying according to its thickness. Around the centre is a wide unglazed stacking ring, and around the inner wall are various moulded leaf and floral patterns. Apart from unintentional glaze splashes, the foot remains unglazed.

Diameter 17 cm...

Phan kiln had been producing royal tableware for Lanna dynasty and very sophisticated works. However it had ended in a short time of period...

Diameter approximately 28 cm. In good condition.

Vietnamese octagonal form jar with rounded edges decorated around the circumference in eight underglaze blue alternating floral and geometric panels set against a buff ground. A band of lotus leaves at the shoulder extend around the mouth. Unglazed flat base with an unidentified mark applied. 15th century. 3 1/4" high x 3 1/2" diameter. Solidly potted and in very good overall condition. There are a few minor imperfections and glaze flaws...

Large Thai 14th - 15th Century Sawankhalok Celadon Bowl

This stoneware bowl was made at the Sawankhalok kilns around the 14th - 15th century. It is coated in an attractive and finely-crackled translucent celadon glaze that has just a hint of blue to it. It has become slightly warped during firing and the glaze has pooled to one side in its centre. To the unglazed base is the round mark of the pontil on which this bowl stood whilst in the kiln during firing...

Thai 14th - 15th Century Underglazed Sukhothai Bowl

This stoneware bowl was made at the Sukhothai kilns during the 14th - 15th century. The striking floral / geometric pattern is in underglaze iron-brown on top of a white slip. The honey-coloured clear glaze is finely-crackled. The glaze is at its thickest to the upper surface. On the underside the glaze is thinner and has degraded in places leaving a matt surface. To the centre are five "spur marks". The base remains unglazed...
