$375.00 A silver overlaid Buddha from Burma. These Buddhas were buried under the Stupas as an offering to the shrine. Size: H. 10cm. W. 6.5cm. Condition: Some flaking of the silver overlay. Original head has been re-attached back on.
Finely cast, with a nice facial expression, the eyes downward, hands in Bhumisparsa Mudra ( calling the earth to witness). Excellent green patina. Very good condition, with a few cracks at the footrim. H. 18 cm. From a Dutch private collection. Collected in the 1970's-1980's. Please check our listings for more pieces from this collection.
In bhumisparsa mudra. Quite rare because of the openwork stand with elephants. 16th century or possibly earlier. H. 20,5 cm. Minor damage to the stand and to the ushnisha. Lovely agewear and patina. Rare item. From a Dutch private collection.
