Superb sutra book (Kammavaca) made of two book covers made of teak wood and 16 pages made of palm wood. The pages are written recto/verso, in Pali script lacquered with black tamarind seed on a gilt background and illuminations. Large Bronze UTHONG Buddha, 18/19th Century. Size: height 80 cm x width at base 58 cm. Knee to knee 52 cm.

Fine rectangular lime box made of bronze, decorated with numerous silver inserts representing floral and geometric designs. Inside the box are four compartments with their lids, also decorated with silver inserts showing stylised flowers. Philippines archipelago, Mindanao island, early 19th century. Dimensions: length: 9.3 cm, height: 6.1 cm. Slight abrasion due to age, otherwise very good condition. Provenance: Acquired in Luzon island in 1978.

19th Century Burmese Bronze Seated Buddha Shakyamuni

It is 18.5 inches (47.1 cm) tall by 8.7 inches (22 cm) wide. It is 8834 gram (19.5 Lb).

It is tarnished and has oxidation, pitting, firing holes, casting imperfection, chips at the tip of the ushnisha, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Antique Shan State Bronze RAIN BUDDHA on original Platform/Base. 18th Century, Burma. The Buddha is refined and serene with downcast eyes and both arms pendant by the sides in "Calling for Rain" position. Nice natural Verdigris patina and difficult to find. One of the back base supports has been repaired, but is inconsequential and unnoticeable. Size: H. 10cm x W. 3.5cm x D. 9 cm.
