A rare Pyu carved green glass pendant with a figure of a man on the front and some writing on the back. Next to the glass pendant there are two small stone carved elephants. Antique Sino-Tibetan cloisonne enamel bronze container in the form of a kapala or skull cup. The lid has a four prong vajra finial, and is decorated with intricate enamel design of floral scrolls, lotuses, waves, and four points around the vajra finial. Unusual Thai architectural sculpture known as a chofa. These beast-like ornaments embellish temple and palace rooftops as a symbol of power and protection. Natural patina and remnants of red show antiquity. A photo is shown to demonstrate how a chofa would look while still in place on a temple roof. The temple shown is in Chiang Mai, the largest and most culturally rich city in Thailand.

Antique Thai gilt cast bronze figure of a recumbent temple deer. These sika deer are closely associated with the Buddha because of his "Teaching in the Deer Park" in Sarnath. Buddha's teaching, or "Spinning the Wheel of the Law" further links the deer to this sacred event. Thus deer are often depicted with the Wheel of the Law, or Dharmachakra in a temple setting. With one leg bent under his body and one outstretched, the deer turns a long, graceful neck to look back over it's shoulder...

A 20th Century example of a tradition laos rain drum cast in bronze. Three frogs (12 altogether) on top with a twelve pointed star with continuing concentric circle with stamp decoration. The side has two short vines with a feaf design. snails representing water and fertility.

Antique amitung (door board) for a dwelling or ceremonial house of the Telefolmin people who live in the southern portion of Sandaun (West Sepik) Province of Papua New Guinea. This large door board is made of a single piece of wood and has an opening for people to enter and exit. The carving is made up of individual motifs that represent different parts of human or animal: the central heart or navel, the wings of a flying fox or fruit bat, spirals represent limbs or eyes...

Pair of lacquered wooden panels inlaid with jade and soapstone. The first is decorated with antiques, the second with foliage and birds. The sculptures are of very good quality. The wooden frames as well as the lacquered backs are late 20th century but we believe that parts were recovered from older broken furniture and were reused here, as can be seen with the small wooden panels decorated with bats and mother-of-pearl inlays that are 19th century or earlier...

18th Century bronze Vishnu Figure, Seated on a stylized lotus Throne. The divinity seated in royal ease, his right hand holding a stick, symbol of his power. Wearing a tiered conical hair dress, short vertically striated sampot with overlap, jeweled collar, armlets, anklets and pendeloque earrings. His throne decorated with lotus buds and flower and the figure is seated beneath a nicely decorated arch. This piece dates back to the 18th Century, About 250-300 years...

A pair of Burmese wooden seated disciples, with calm facial expression, lacquered and gilded with inlay of colorful glass pieces on the borders of the robes, one of them sitting in adoration posture with two hands attached to each other indicating respectful manner. Traces of original lacquer and gilding remain in excellent condition.
