A rare antique, large cross - crucifix made of wood inlaid with mother of pearl, 17th - 18th century, China (probably Macau).

The cross is formed of two hardwood elements (probably rosewood), a central staff, and a horizontal bar, inlaid with incised and finely engraved mother-of-pearl to depict vines and acanthus leaves.

Both ends of the arms and the top of the cross are shaped like Ruya's heads and inlaid with mother of pearl with lotus flowers and acanthus leaves...

Glazed stoneware lime pot. Relief decoration, glued to the slip representing a dragon, a phoenix and Buddhist emblems covered with thick blue, brown and cream enamels. Vietnamese work from the 19th century or before. Some applied elements have peeled off and the enamel has chipped in places over time as can be seen in the photos. Rare ceramic of good quality. Antique Tibetan gilt bronze figure of the Buddhist deity Kubera, lord of wealth, protector of the physical world. He lounges with piles of gold around him. In one hand he holds a mongoose, who is said to spit jewels. The mongoose shows rule over the Naga (malevolent snake people and guardians to vast treasure). Kubera is shown seated on his vehicle, a large beast atop a lotus pod throne.

Burmese lacquered harp, or Saung, the body carved with gilt floral motifs and inlaid glass. The tip of the curved neck ends in a stylized gilt leaf with inlaid glass. The 14-stringed instrument sits displayed on a carved wood stand with temple guardians and lotuses.

Antique Tibetan repousse copper hanging ball censer, with iron chain. The depiction is a wrathful deity riding on a Qilin, a chimera with the features of a dragon mixed with a deer, flanked by four smaller deities seated on lotus thrones. One wrathful deity holds a Vajra staff and conch shell, the reverse side deity holds a mace and a Kapala or skull cup containing the elixir of life.

A Burmese architectual temple carving. Would have been mounted within the structural supports of the temple design. Original pigment of gold and red show well and are vibrant. Hand carved with multi colored glass beads imbedded within each detail.
