A monochrome porcelain Vietnamese bowl from the 14th-16th Century. The clear ivory glaze has an incised design of a flower with 2 lines above it. The exterior of the bowl has a carved lotus pattern that extends to the bowl's small footing. During the 14th century, a second stacking method for firing was introduced using a ring-shape separator. Antique Vietnamese bowl with goldenrod celadon crackle glaze. The outer rim has two sets of incised parallel lines. The inside center has five textured points in a star formation with thick pooled black glaze. The bottom half of the bowl has textured vertical striations with rich glaze pooling around the foot. The jar has a short neck and rolled rim. Some imperfections. Annamese refers to Vietnamese porcelain, since Annam was the name of the southernmost province of China after the Tang dynasty. A large SONG DYNASTY Period,SAWANGKALOKE-SRICHANALAI SIAMESE-THAI Black-Blue partially glazed Ceramic Bottle, 14-16th Century. It has 2 raised intact nodules to the shoulder as well as horizontal incised ring ribbing towards the top. Size: height 15.5 cm. x 12 cm. diameter. The base measures 7.8 cm. Good overall condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, nor restorations whatsoever. This is definitely a seldom found size for this type of ceramic glazed bottle. A real Collector's item!
