Pair of teak wood carvings from an abbot’s chair in a Lanna Thai Buddhist Temple. 50 years old or more, possibly late Rattanakosin period. In the center of each piece is a Buddha image- one standing and one sitting. Very decorative. Both mounted on a black steel stands with felt bottoms. H: 21cm/8.2in.

A green jade earring made some 3,200 years ago from people living around the Ma and Red Rivers in northern Vietnam. Can be worn as a pendant. Size: L.4.4cm. W. 3.5cm. Condition: No repairs or cracks. The indents are the natural contours of the jade.

Wonderful large carved wooden face of a man. His mouth is open wide and whiskers splay outward. He has a wide nose and large eyes. He appears to be wearing an oval shaped hat on which is carved an animal of some sort with long striped tail and clawed feet. The wood is beautifully worn from years of weather and rain. An incredible monumental triangular architectural pediment, chua from Thailand. Carved of wood in high relief, the design is of scrolling peony vines entwining monkey figures. The anthropomorphized monkeys, dressed in clothing and with human hands, are suggestive of the Hindu deity, Hanuman. A fine Balinese hardwood carving showing the Hindu god Ganesha with his typical elephant head seated on a raised lotus throne. Condition: fine, a bit dusty. Dimension: c. 25.3 cm high, 8 cm deep. For a close depiction please visit the statue TM-15-171 in the "Tropenmuseum in Amsterdam". Collected in situ by a Dutch family in the 1st half of the 20th C.

Antique Philippine long wooden low bench-like slab for agricultural work. With shallow, circular mortar on one end for processing grain or seed. Stands on two low feet.

Antique Philippine container cover most likely from the Ifugauo people and part of a punamhan (ceremonial ritual) box or a pukok rice container. Carved with a guardian figure in relief. Confidently hewn with sure chisel marks and dark patina.
