A Very Fine/Rare Korean Early White Glazed Dish-16th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, 15th - 16th century. The elegantly potted shallow dish, sharply tapering to a raised foot and with a raised rim, with the interior face bordered with a single line, the both out and insides covered overall in an even greyish white glaze with the base. It’s in very good condition with applied white glaze overall evenly, it measures 17.2 cm x 4 cm

We like to present you this Korean Hori Mishima tea bowl for the Japanese Tea ceremony, made in the late 16th/early 17th century.

It is a low wan shaped tea bowl. Its expertly thrown body with its lower part was trimmed with a potters knife and shaped into the typical Korean bamboo node foot, creating a chirimen (crepe de chine) effect at the bottom. The bowl is decorated on the inside with an incised fish bone pattern and stamped flowers, both filled with a white engobe...

Antique Korean pair of small Koryŏ porcelain cups. Elegant form with small feet and sharply flared sides. Fine celadon glaze in pale blue with high transparency. The interiors are a paler translucent glaze. Each cup has a simple blue underglaze dot in the underside of the foot.

This is the only ancient Korean mace ever offered for sale. The few existing examples are all in museums in Korea. It is from the Early Joseon Dynasty, 16th Century or earlier. Only Korea has this type of straight mace with a perfectly round head. And the head is made from iron insets just like the scales on Korean royal armor. 22 inches (46 cm) long, 3.5 inches (9 cm) wide.
