A carved wooden mask dating from Edo period Japan, likely made as a talisman to ward off evil and bad spirits. It is of thickly carved wood, larger than life, and beautifully modeled. Originally the mask was covered in lacquer and the eyes were silver., remnants of color still visible in the folds and crevices. It is 31 x 25 cm (12 x 10 inches) and is in overall fine condition.

A fabulous form in striking colors by Miwa Eizo enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Hagi Hanaire. Raised from a square, the vase has been flattened, covered in Hagi glaze, then the shorter corners slabbed away revealing the raw clay. Thus fired, it is an engaging work of art, obviously buried slightly in the embers on one side, where it goes from smokey gray to mottled lavender and white into pink as it rises...

This is an exquisite example of Japanese Cloisonne mounted on a silver-plated form. As the images show, The wire and wireless enameling are superb. Condition is also outstanding. It stands 8 inches tall and is 7 1/2 inches wide. We never seen another like this one.

A set of five exquisite bowls covered entirely in silver glaze enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Ginsai Kobachi Zen. They have been created in a manner with raw clay outside, glazed within, causing the silver texture to be matt outside, with an earthy feel, while the inside is smooth and glossy. Each is roughly 10 cm (4 inches) diameter, 5 m (2 inches) tall and all are in excellent condition...

Zabuton, a floor cushion made of hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. One side has kasuri pattern. It has four layers of cloth and sashiko (quilting) with white cotton yarn. Generally, in good condition but has wear or breaks in hems. Early 20th century. W:58cm, L:59cm.

Cotton kimono with tiny shibori which is "Fundo-tsunagi" pattern, the continuous pattern of the weight for the balance scale. It is dyed with vegetable indigo.
