Ash simply blankets this vessel by Koyama Kiyoko enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Shigaraki Shizen-yu Tetsuki Hanaire. It is 29 cm (just less than 12 inches) tall, roughly 5 inches diameter and in excellent condition.
Koyama Kiyoko was born in Sasebo, Nagasaki in 1936. Following the second world war the family moved to Shiga prefecture, eventually settling in the pottery village of Shigaraki. She took a job as a ceramic painter's assistant at a young age...

Enigmatic script rises like fingerprints from the surface of this vertical black monolith by Shigemori Yoko dating from quite early in her career titled Autumn Field.
