Antique Japanese oil painting on wooden board, with no title (but provably 'Notre Dame de Paris'), 1930s, 40.3 x 33.3 cm (15.86 x 13.11in), attached with a Japanese-written certificate proving that the actual grand son himself possessed this work of Tsukamoto Shigeru (1903-1983)...

A small vase sculpted in the shape of a cluster of roses covered in cockscomb red by Kiyomizu Rokubei V enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The vase shows the influence of Art-Nouveau, and Rokubei was one of the leading proponents of blending Western and Eastern ideals in clay art. The vase is 6.5cm (2-1/2 inches) diameter, 18.5cm (7-1/2 inches) tall and in perfect condition. It comes wrapped in the original artist stamped cloth complete with the original black wood stand...

This is a Japanese antique indigo dye cotton Excellent Boro noragi of patched and sashiko stitch Meiji (1868-1912). It was repaired many times, and the boro rag that were used became wonderful folk art by themselves. The patchwork & sashiko stitch of the indigo dye cotton for the repaired is very beautiful. This noragi can enjoy both sides. size: Length:85cm (33.4inch) sleeve to sleeve :87cm (34.2inch)

Fine earthenware dish from Satsuma. Polychrome decoration where blue (typical Gosu blue) is dominant, this type of decoration was called "Imperial" although these ceramics were not intended for the emperor but mainly for export to the Europe and the United States...

An antique Japanese transom (Ranma) made of Hinoki (Cypress) wood. Hand carved image of a crouching tiger moving with stealth and grace in a bamboo forest. Pronounced wood grain adds depth and movement to the image.

In Japan, the Ranma was placed above the Fusuma doors to provide air circulation in both rooms that it shared...

A gossamer work by the demanding young female artist Lu Xueyun enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Breeze 2019-I. The vessel is made up of married sheets of thin porcelain, so thin in fact that light passes easily through it. Her works are truly exquisite, captivating in their frailty...

Fireman's hat from the Edo period. The outer fabric is dyed with vegetable indigo and has sashiko stitching. A dragon holding a jewel is hand-painted on the cotton lining. There are some small stains and holes, but nothing noticeable. Condition is good.Size:: Length: 62cm, hem width 85cm

A teal colored cloisonne enamel vase with peony and vine decoration within fine silver wire and with subtle blue on yellow hues accenting the petals and leaves. Two character signature on the silver footrim and in the box (and with printed material) accompanied when acquired. Excellent condition. Height, 8 1/2 inches

Vintage oil painting on wooden board, 'Landscape (Aoyama (,Tokyo))', 1955, by a modern Japanese painter, Amano Saburo (1919-2006)...

Wonderful Ca. 1930 Kyoto-yaki ceramic bowl signed by Nishigawa in a signed original box. Inscripted on the box is the word Nishiki-ga meaning patterned after the obis woven in the Nishiki weaving area of Kyoto. 13cm tall x 28cm in diameter. Great condition.

A very rare Mashiko platter by Living National Treasure Hamada Shoji decorated with a poem cradled in an offset ring forming the mika-tsuki or third day moon by poet Shimizu Hian. The poem reads: Akaki Mi no Omoto no Hotori Dainaru Maruki kono yo no ishi okitari, and is signed by the 76 year old man Hian meaning it was made either in 1958 or 59 (depending upon whether Hian was going by the Western or Japanese manner of counting age)...

3 robed figures appear decidedly relaxed on the edge of a rock-strewn river lost in dark mountains. Above a poem reads:
Furusato ha Arukiteyukeru Tokoro ni-te, Yama ari, Mizu ari, kataru yuujin ari (Walking through my home(town) I find mountains, water and friends for conversation).
Ink on paper bordered in patterned silk with bone rollers...

Antique Japanese bronze koro (censer) in the form of the trickster, Tanuki. In this depiction, Tanuki takes the form of a monk with a wide hat on. Fine details of his fur and vines of grape leaves wraps around him (fittingly as Tanuki is fond of wine). The leaves on the vine and on his hat are made of cloisonné in various fall colors. There is a raised cartouche on the bottom. The hat can be removed to put incense inside the Tanuki container...

A large Serving dish covered entirely in a volatile landscape of scholars and winding mountain paths populated by towering temples and bridges spanning precipitous gaps by Shigemori Yoko enclosed in a wooden box titled Sansui E-zara. Performed with blue over a cream colored glaze, it is 33 x 35 x 3.5 cm (roughly 13 x 14 x 1-1/4 inches) and is in excellent condition, directly from the artist’s family, with a wooden box signed by her brother Naoki...
