This an exquisite Satsuma tea jar from Ryozan. The gold work and painting are examples of his best workmanship. The piece is in excellent condition but the original lid is missing and this lid has a repair. It was used to help this great piece display better. Maybe some one out there has a better lid for the great piece. It stands 6 inches tall.

A Meiji scene of samurai preparing for battle, a noble women looking on with apprehension as a courier brings word from the battlefield. The lord fixes the knot on his helmet, preparing to rush into the fray. The scene is performed in pigment on silk, and we have had it completely re-mounted with a black frame reflecting the original style with sturdy cloth backing...

This is a very old Japanese Imari Plate. The design is outstanding and the rim style is very rare. This is a piece for the collector that appreciates the finer imari pieces made at the Japanese kilns. The plate measures 9 3/4 inches across and is quite heavy. There is a signature or writing in underglaze blue that we can not make out. Condition is excellent with come minor wear.

Japanese cast iron sake kettle (choshi) with the characteristic flattened spout decorated in low relief on one side with prunus blossoms and on the other side with bamboo. The wooden lid is covered with stippled lacquer. These iron kettles were used to heat sake during the cold winter months. Flower form finial. Meiji period (19th century). Measures about 7 3/4" to the top of the handle and about 9 1/2" across to the tip of the spout. The kettle is in very good overall condition...

This is silk beautiful yuzen-dye and Embroidery fukusa textile of the Edo period to Meiji Era(1850-1880). This is yuzen-dye which was drawn by hand and dyed. It has few thin stains. However, it is not conspicuous. It does not have a damage and is in a very good state. size:66cm x 76cm (26" x 29.9")
