Antique Japanese cloisonne vase with a Chinese archaic style decoration of dragons and other stylized animals on a variegated green ground. There are two decorative bands, one around the neck and one around the body. Silver mark and Ando mark on bottom. It measures 12" tall the base is 5" wide the mouth is 7" wide. Exquisite antique Japanese fluted Imari vase with special scallop edge and containing intricate patterns of flowers, scrolls, hu-birds and geometric designs. Antique Japanese cloisonne plate with scalloped edge. The center has a beautiful depiction of humming birds in flight over chrysanthemum and peony flowers. Meiji period, 1868-1912. It measures 18" wide.

Antique Japanese two panel screen inlaid on both sides with mother of pearl and bone. The front has two beautiful scenes of birds and butterflies perched on flowering wisteria branches. The lower register has a phoenix and a dragon. The back side has scenes of butterflies flittering about. The lower region has panels of crashing waves.Meiji period, 1868-1912. It measures 37" tall 25.25" wide.

Antique Japanese shinto mirror, tenka ichi. This mirror has a tassle tied through a turtle. The central motif is of a turtle over bamboo meeting the beaks of two cranes. The birds and turtle are on a beach with pine trees and bamboo bushes. This mirror would have been placed along with three others at the entrance to a shrine for those entering to see their reflection as they entered. Made of bronze, Edo period (c1800).
It measures 4 5/8" by 1/2" deep.

Antique Japanese shinto shrine mirror. The mirror has a central motif of a turtle meeting the beaks of two cranes. Three baby cranes and a small turtle walk along the beach. The three auspicious symbols of pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms invoke the island of longevity, horaisan. There is an inscription to ward off calamities. This mirror would have been placed on a wooden stand at the entrance to a shinto shrine for the visitor to see their reflection as they entered. Edo period, (c1800)...

Delightful antique Japanese tansu made of Kiri wood. This small symmetrical tansu has 6 drawers of various sizes and safe box in lower right hand corner and two small interior drawers. Iron hardware, round lock plates, oval drawer pulls and rectangular side handles. Late Meiji Period c.1910. Size: 28.5" height x 26" length x 15" deep

This is a very fine set of Japanese Imari Nesting Bowls. It is rare to get a set of this quality in this fine of condition. These bowls are old and they are antiques. The largest bowl measures 10 inches across and 4 1/4 tall. The condition is excellent on all three.

Antique Japanese, three section kiri or paulownia wood, stackable tansu. Each section has wrought iron fittings and hardware to stack the tansu and protect the tansu from damage. Each section is distinct in its design. The first section has a short cabinet with two sliding doors and five small drawers beneath it. The second section has a cabinet with three shelves. The shelves have cut outs so that one can pull the shelves out...
