This is a beautiful four sided Japanese cloisonne vase. The work is subtle and the workmanship of very high quality. The artists that come to mind when looking at this piece are Kawade and Souske. The vase is not signed. The rims are silver. The vase stands 7 1/4 inches tall and it is in excellent condition.

This is a beautiful Japanese Cloisonne Enamel tray from Namikawa Sosuke. The tray looks perfect but it has does have a very difficult to see professional restoration to the face. This would be a great addition for a Museum or fine collection because it displays so well. This is a top flight piece for less than a third normal price. The tray measures 11 3/4 inches across and it is heavy.

Dramatic Japanese Boy's Day Banner depicting the warrior Kashiwade no Hanoshi defeating a tiger. Colorful paste resist dyed and painted cotton. Tall banner with two mon (crests) at the top. One mon is the fuji (wisteria) of the Fujiwara family or possible of a family expressing devotion to the Kumano Shrine also associated with the wisteria motif. Meiji Period. Very fine large Meiji Era Japanese porcelain bowl with a delicately painted floral motif accented with gold gilt highlights. The side of the bowl features cranes in various flying poses. There is an old staple and gold repair at the rim. Looking into the bowl it is not visible unless you are seriously looking for it. See last 2 photos. Bowl rings nicely. Signed on the bottom, this is a very large bowl measuring 12.5 inches across by 3.75" high.

Set of two Japanese samurai warrior dolls on horseback. Possibly representing the very well known Toyotomi Hideyoshi or Yoshitsune Minamoto and Benki. One samurai rides a white horse caught in mid stride while his rider leans forward in pursuit. The other warrior is on a black horse that is standing still analyzing his next move. Both warriors have intense expressions and are decorated in full armor with bows and arrows. Very highly detailed with all original parts...

This in a very nice Japanese cloisonne wisteria vase. It has a soft yellowish/green ground color which is fairly uncommon.The vase is in outstanding condition having just a few factory pits. From the looks of the enamel and workmanship, this vase appears to have been made by Ota. The vase stands 9 1/2 inches tall and it is a heavy piece.

This is a very fine cloisonne vase with very fine work. It stands only 3 3/4 inches tall but it is loaded with fine details, enameling and sculpted wire work. The vase does have a very slight bend on the bottom rim and there is a small amount of enamel damage that is hard to notice.

Let's continue with another treasure: rounded wan-shaped tea bowl with high foot of the bamboo node style. The body pinched in at the middle to a shape called tojinbue (Chinese flute). The light, little coarse clay with enclosures is expertly thrown and full glazed - incl. the foot - with a transparent glaze of wood ash with some feldspar over a white engobe in hakeme style. The glaze shows a fine little crazing over the engobe, which is just amazing...

It is 6 inches (15.2 cm) tall by 3.2 inches (8.2 cm) wide. It is 0.6 Lb.

This is a very fine small Japanese cloisonne vase done in the style of early Namikawa cloisonne pieces. This vase like Namikawa works has butterflies, high sheen mottled enamels and gilt wires. Even so we believe it was probably made by Honda. This heavy piece stands 4 3/4 inches and the condition is nearly mint.
