Japanese plique-a-jour cloisonne enamel vase densely decorated with a bouquet of flowers set against a celadon green background. Chrome rims. Dates from the Occupation period (1945-1960). Measures about 3 3/4"H x 3" diameter. Very good overall condition. There is a faint interior stress crack at the shoulder that cannot be felt (see enlargements 6 and 7). The neck is very slightly tilted.

This is a very attractive Cloisonne jewelry chest from Inaba. It is a vintage piece, but still there a lot of work that went into this jewelry chest. It is decorated all over. The size of Kogai with Metal end: 5 7/16" Long, The size of Lacquer Kogai: 5 1/4" L x 5/8" W. Metal ends Kogai, Hair pin made by buffalo bone I think. It is removable as photo showing. Each end has Kinbari(gld filled) finish. It has "Kinbari" marking on each end as last photo showing. Kinbari(gold filled) is heavier than Kin-mekki(gold plated). Other is lacquer finish over some king bone. It is pretty light but not plastic. The condition of metal ends Kogai is excellent condition...
