Stamped with the famed Nambu Iron Foundry in Tohoku Northern Japan, the inscription reads, 'Tetsubin Nambu Seido' iron teapot made at the Nambu Foundry. sold thank you This is a Japanese antique textile indigo dye cotton narumi-Shibori kimono meiji period.
This is a very rare and beautiful item created using 11 different Narumi Shibori techniques. Hand-spun cotton fabric is very thick. There are some very small stains, but they are not noticeable. Condition is good with no damage.
