This is Japanese antique noragi katazome indigo-dyed cotton noragi from the Meiji era.（1868－1911） There is a thin dirt, but is not outstanding. The cuffs have minor damage. It is a very beautiful indigo dyed cotton. Size:: Length 58cm (22.8") Back Width 62cm (24.4").

This is a japanese antique boro patched of dark brown hemp Mosquito net fabric. It is an old mosquito net textile from the meiji era (1868-1911). The beautiful color of the persimmon tannin dye is slightly soft to the touch. The brown color of persimmon dyeing has changed beautifully over time. A bronze mirror, wakyo, decorated with a classic Autumn pattern that evolved in the Heian period which features a pair of birds, sparrows, water weeds, ashi, water, and a wave washed sandy beach, suhama. The design is cut by a single ring. The design of the inverted pistil boss and the density of the design, horror vacui, dates the mirror to the late Kamakura period 1275-1325. Two rattan handled and lidded water jugs in late Jugendstil, two of a kind. One designed by Richard Riemerschmied for the company of F & R Fischer c 1915, the other and smaller by Webster & Son, New York c 1920. The German jug hammered (pressed) and nickeled brass, the American jug silvered copper. Riemerschmid was co-founder of the Deutscher Werkbund, the ideas of which were close to the Wiener Werkstätte...

A long woman’s summer obi made of thin silk, woven in jacquard and openwork techniques with chrysanthemums or asters interlaced with fences of plaited bamboo leaves. On this, in Yuzen dye technique, imitating an ink drawing, several areas painted with cart wheels floating in waves.
The obi has been opened; a practice quite common in order to have the material cleaned. There is a paper (dry) cleaner’s tag on the obi.

This is beautiful and adorable Japanese Kutani Dog
from 1970's to 1980's about 50 years old
vintage Okimono. It has flowers, butterfly and ribbon on neck design.
The Dog is made from crackle glazing semi porcelain body.
Bottom of Dog Okimono has some kind stain. It has four felt circles,
preventing scratch when placing on the wooden top.

An interesting Hizen-yaki, Arita kilns foliate rimmed bowl. Center decoration of a Chinese scholar in tropical landscape. The cavetto and exterior decorated in the Kraak manner. A spurious four character Xuande mark on the bottom, inside the unglazed high foot rim. 19th century. Good condition. Diameter, about 6 5/8 inches. Height, about 2 2/8 inches.

Japanese cigarette case / tobacco box, lacquer on copper with mother of pearl inlay of flowers and birds to both sides. Made in Nagasaki and exported to Europe, where it was given as a Christmas present in 1867 - dedication and date engraved to the inside of the box lid. Measures: 6 " / 15.2 x 3 " / 7.3 cm, height 2/3 ” / 1.7 cm. Condition: the lid with cracks and some loss to the lacquer.
