There is a thin dirt, but is not outstanding. The cuffs have minor damage.
It is a very beautiful indigo dyed cotton.

It is an old mosquito net textile from the meiji era (1868-1911).
The beautiful color of the persimmon tannin dye is slightly soft to the touch.
The brown color of persimmon dyeing has changed beautifully over time.

A bronze mirror, wakyo, decorated with a classic Autumn pattern that evolved in the Heian period which features a pair of birds, sparrows, water weeds, ashi, water, and a wave washed sandy beach, suhama. The design is cut by a single ring. The design of the inverted pistil boss and the density of the design, horror vacui, dates the mirror to the late Kamakura period 1275-1325.
A great deal of the detail has been lost as a result of wear and over polishing...

Medium: Japanese woodblock print. Condition: Excellent. This marginless print is from a mid-century collection that included another marginless Hasui print. Most examples are found with margins, so it may have been trimmed or issued in this state. The size of Kutani Dog: 7" High x 4 1/4" Wide x 5" Deep.

A spurious four character Xuande mark on the bottom, inside the unglazed high foot rim. 19th century. Good condition. Diameter, about 6 5/8 inches. Height, about 2 2/8 inches.

$140.00 Japanese cigarette case / tobacco box, lacquer on copper with mother of pearl inlay of flowers and birds to both sides. Made in Nagasaki and exported to Europe, where it was given as a Christmas present in 1867 - dedication and date engraved to the inside of the box lid. Measures: 6 " / 15.2 x 3 " / 7.3 cm, height 2/3 ” / 1.7 cm. Condition: the lid with cracks and some loss to the lacquer.
