Antique Japanese jingasa (samuai's hat). Overlapping panels similar to that of a samurai's movable armor and embellished with metal spikes. Lacquered a brownish black with three distinctive Myoga (ginger) kamon of the Nabeshima clan in gold lacquer. The underside is lacquered red. Comes with a custom metal stand.

The Japanese tantutu pistol has a octagonal russet iron barrel, with flat sighting plains on top and bore of 3/8". A stock dai of Keyaki wood and brass plate jiita of the arquebus's firing mechanism. Mounted for display on a custom museum iron mount.

Japanese set of 12 flathead piercing tip arrows. Polished, forged steel tips. Mounted on a circular presentation base. Ya used in war by the samurai had a variety of tips called yajiri or yanone; these arrowheads were forged using the same steel (tamahagane) and methods as traditional Japanese swords. There are many different kinds of arrowhead and they all have their own special name. Togari-ya is a simple pointed design.

An antique Samurai ammunition box made entirely of Hinoki (Cypress) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware with beautiful aged patina acquired over more than a century and a half of time. Family crest of the original owner as seen on the top of the piece. Hinged lid opens to the storage area below.

Samurai menpo mask with the ressei (fierce) expression, belonging to the me-no-shita "half-face" type, which stands out for its leather surface to simulate finely hammered iron. Antique Japanese samurai's shiko ebira, open type of quiver for carrying arrows (ya). Finely made of carved wood with iron fittings and lacquer finish. Decorated with gold mon on a black lacquer ground. Comes with a set of 5 arrows and displayed on a custom fabricated bronze stand. Kyudo (the art of archery) was practiced in battle and in hunting.

A set of sword fittings compromising of a tsuba, pair of menuki, and fuchigashira. The menuki is chiseled in the katagiri style on shakudo with gold iroe embellishments. The fuchigashira are done in polished shibuichi bronze. The set comes with a special kiri box with purple chirimen silk to store the set.

Pair of Japanese antique abumi (horse riding stirrups), made of iron with silver inlay all over in beautiful designs of vines and leaves, the bottom of each stirrup is decorated with a bamboo motif, the foot areas are lacquered black, each abumi is inlaid with writing: Kaga Ishikawa Prefecture, Mori Hei Saku (artist's name and "signed by") lived in Komaki. Edo Period (18th century). Size of each: 9 1/2" high x 11 1/2" long x 5" wide.

A fine wakizashi in saya of crushed aogai shell in lacquer with engraved silver fittings adorned with a family crest wrapped with matching Kozuka. Kyoto license number 59007 Heisei 9.

The pistol has an octagonal russet iron barrel with flat sighting plains on top and bore of 3/8". The dai stock is of a hardwood and brass jiita arquebus's firing mechanism, sakura ramrod intact. Good condition.
