Japanese mid 20th century pure silver pair of cranes and bronze tortoise on large bronze base. The base is done as a small rocky hill with bamboo growing. Done in a wonderful design with great detail. Each crane is marked JUNGIN, or pure silver. The base is signed KATSUNORI, in back. The entire piece measures 22" wide, 18" tall and 14" deep.

Hand formed copper vase with waves in annealed silver signed on the side and enclosed in the original signed wooden box dating from the 1950s. It is 20 x 15 x 21 cm (8 x 6 x 8 inches) and in excellent condition.

Japanese Military Solder's Canteen, early 1900's, 7" high, 3 1/2" wide, 3" deep, with embossed pewter like surface with curved Brass Hook in the back and top use as a cup which attached with rope. All original condition with wooden cap and other brass pipe for air.

A small Japanese square bronze table screen with a flying crane in openwork, raised and supported on the backs of two kirins, a mythical beast in Chinese mythology. At the top two holders, maybe for a brush. Condition: a small loss (one ear), one leg restored (see photo No. 11), bottom of sreen maybe with lost part?, patina. Dimension: c. 15.5 cm high, 18.5 cm wide, 8.3 cm deep.

A Japanese handled mirror, e-kagami, cast with a Hoo bird in flight, a symbol or harbinger of peace, and a Kiri tree to its right, auspicious symbols associated with the Empress of Japan, Kiri ni Hoo. Beneath which is pine tree set upon a rocky shoreline washed by seigaiha; a wave pattern symbolizing eternal peace and happiness. The design overall connoting a wish for Peace and Harmony. To the left of the pattern is a set of four characters reading Fujiwara Mitsunaga...

Japanese mirror in cast bronze, partially silvered. Rare and elegant decoration in relief, in the center the "Mon" of the Tori-O clan of Yamaguchi in Suwo, surrounded by scrolls of flowers and stylized clouds mixed with Ginkgo Biloba leaves. The handle is covered with thin strips of bamboo. Japanese work probably from the 19th century or much earlier. Diameter: 17cm Total length: 26cm .Silvering partly erased. Original bamboo. A highly attractive, hammered silver vase of rounded body rendered in parallel hammered bands and opened neck. Stamped silver mark in the bottom. Showa, c. 1950. H 17 cm, D 12.5 cm. Condition: Perfect. Natural patina.

A good, large murashido patinated bronze vase. Raised geese and irises decoration including some katakiribori details. The bottom may have been reversed when reattaching it at some later time. From inside the vase can be seen on the bottom a 16 petal chrysanthemum overlaid by Kashiwa (oak leaf) mon and on a bed of same - all in relief...

A cigarette case made of iron, partially damascened in different golds and silver, inspired by the famous sculpture of the American artist James Earle Fraser (1876-1953) "End of the Trail", which he designed in the late 19th C. The interior with the Otojiro's mark with dragonfly. Condition: traces of usage, two tiny retouches, tiny scratches, elastic band tired, not perfectly closing, interior with left below corner slightly corroded (last photo). Dimension closed: c. 8.6 x 8.1 cm.

Splendid well-matched pair of antique Japanese gilt bronze lanterns with incised floral pattern and tokugawa mon designs. With opening doors lined with paper for illumination. Used in temple passageways. Edo period, circa 1850s. Size: 16" H x 13" Diameter.
