$295.00 This is an attractive cloisonne vase from Ando. The enamel work and shading are finely done. The form and colors are rare. The vase stands 6 inches tall. There is a bit of hard to see crazing. This can be seen in the images and actually shows up more in the image than in person. It was made with silver rims and was probably made in the 1930's. This is a very nice display piece.

$495.00 This is an attractive vintage Japanese Cloisonne vase. It is much like another piece we currently have listed but of higher quality. It may be from Ando. The wireless enamel work on the mountain and clouds is very good. Except in the foreground, the enamel colors are soft pastel tones of gray/blue. It just under 7 inches tall and 5 inches wide. There is a minor dent to bottom rim that can not be seen when on display. otherwise the condition is outstanding.

The Kura
Sold, Thank you! Flames of red flash form the bird resurrected on the side of this large Cloisonne vase by the Ando company of Nagoya; Japan’s premier cloisonne studio. The color is hard to describe, seeming to be lit from within. A combination of wire and wireless design using gold wire with silver rim. Ando mark on base, the vase measures 37 cm (14-1/2 inches) tall, 32 cm (12-1/2 inches) diameter and is in excellent condition. It comes enclosed in a fine, custom made kiri-wood box.
8 3/8" high Japanese treebark vase decorated on the front with a landscape motif. Tree-bark (Jitaisome Jippo) is a form of ceramic cloisonne in which the colors are done using lacquer rather than enamel. Using lacquer to cover the porcelain jar to resemble treebark, the wires are set into the lacquer to form the designs and the cells are filled with lacquer and polished. This lacquer is not fired. Dates from the Taisho to early Showa period...

Japanese cloisonne vase decorated with two cattleya orchids set against a green ground. The interior counter enamel is black and the rims are chrome. The Ando Cloisonne Company seal is on the base rim. Measures 8 1/2" high x 4" diameter at the mouth. Dates from the Showa period (mid-20th century). Very good overall condition.
The Kura
Sold, Thank you! Wild roses blossom on the rich tea green sides of this cloisonné vase by the Ando studio enclosed in a custom silk lined padded wooden box with a separate compartment for the rose wood stand (included). The base color is that of maccha green tea, making it doubly Japanese. Each leaf, each thorn each petal is wrapped in a thin silver wire frame. The vase is roughly 10 inches (25 cm) tall and in excellent condition.
