Japanese wood and lacquer cloisonne document box. The ground features a carved lacquered tree bark design. Applied cloisonne flowers with a butterfly were achieved by using gold tone metal wires which were filled with colored lacquer and then hand polished. In excellent antique condition, it measures 13.25 inches long, 4.75" high, 2.25" high. Photos do not due justice to this large box, you will not be disappointed. Circa 1900's

Late 19th Century Japanese cloisonne bronze charger with a flock of flying cranes. Beautifully designed, it measures 12 inches in diameter. There are a few stress marks in the upper left side, please study last photograph where I have enlarged and highlighted the area through photoshop. It is not as evident in person. This is an attractive cloisonne vase from Ando. The enamel work and shading are finely done. The form and colors are rare. The vase stands 6 inches tall. There is a bit of hard to see crazing. This can be seen in the images and actually shows up more in the image than in person. It was made with silver rims and was probably made in the 1930's. This is a very nice display piece.

Japanese cloisonné bottle form lidded vase on a Satsuma earthenware substrate with "kidney bean" cloisons decorated on the body with three cartouches (a five-petal flower, a kidney bean, and a fan) all filled with leafy flowers and set against a blue ground. Alternating triangle forms, each holding a single flower, encircle the shoulder and mouth. The neck holds scattered flowers on a tan ground. The lid is decorated with a flowers. Japanese Meiji period barrel form cloisonne enamel vase with three panels decorated in butterflies, flowers, and birds set against a powder blue ground. The cartouches are placed against a brown background covered in dense abstract and floral patterns. There is green counter enamel on the base and interior. Circa 1880s. 7 1/8" high x about 4 1/2" wide. The barrel form suggests it is possibly an early Namikawa piece. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs...
