Blue glaze has been applied to the joined slabs of raw clay forming this elongated basin by Shigemori Yoko enclosed in a signed wooden box titled Mudai. Several slabs of clay were rolled and crushed together, the raw edges untouched forming a mountain-scape along the top. It is 66 cm (26 inches) long and in excellent condition, enclosed in a wooden box signed by her brother Naoki. This is one of only a couple examples we have from this torn series.
