An Inuyama style pottery dish covered in black lacquer; the two pinched areas of the rim decorated with slight gold designs of fortuitous symbols from the Toyoraku kiln of Nagoya. Inside the dish features crackled glaze decorated with young pine and bamboo shoots with splashes of Oribe green. The Toyoraku stamp is visible to the left of the design. Tokkuri (alccol bottle) made of hard porcelain. Mikawachi kilns. Japan early 19th century. The bottle has an unusually elegant, typically Japanese shape, it was created for the Japanese market and not for export. The porcelain, immaculately white, has a very fine grain similar to that of marble, which is typical of Hirado clay. A lake landscape decor subtly drowned in mist is painted in a luminous cobalt blue...

This antique Iga vase is a true beauty, made of wonderful native Iga clay.

The vase was made between 1800 - 1850 during the later Edo Period and is in great antique condition. No chips or repairs. It comes with an old wooden box and an old cloth bag (which has a small torn part).

Iga ware's origins are believed to date to the second half of the 7th century and 8th century A.D...
