A pair of Japanese Kutani sake cups with scalloped rims and enameled decoration of Phoenix birds, Paulownia leaves and the Tokugawa mon or crest, the interior with auspicious symbols. The Tokugawa clan reigned Japan as Shoguns from 1603 to 1867. Kutani Fuku (happiness)mark in iron red, a mark in use during the Tokugawa period. Height "1 2/3 / 4.2 cm.
