Vintage brass “puja kalash” water or milk container used in ritual Hindu ceremonies from Southern India, H: 13cm/5.1in x D: 12cm/4.8in. Very finely turned in a simple but elegant shape and quite heavy, near 1kg- and signed (noted in enlargements), appears to be unused but with some patina- made circa mid 20th century.

$95.00 Old Kalaga from Myanmar (now Burma) featuring an unusual but colorful bird. The kalaga is embroidered with a combination of metallic and plain threads, sequins, beads and glass stones. Applied around the bird in a circle are glass-like stones that give the appearance of moonstones. In very good antique/vintage condition, it measures about 14.25 inches square. Circa 1950's or earlier.
Statue of an ancestor or deity designed for the protection of a household, standing in a praying posture, with a very expressive face. Wood, age patina. Nepal, early 20th century. Height: 4é cm. The piece is mounted on a custom metal stand. Age cracks, some erosion, otherwise very good condition.

The teapot is 5.7 inches (14.6 cm) tall by 9.75 inches (25 cm) wide. The coffee pot is 7.8 inches (20 cm) tall by 8.2 inches (21 cm) wide. The creamer is 4.3 inches (11.1 cm) tall by 6.2 inches (15.9 cm) wide. The sugar bowl is 4.3 inches (11.1 cm) tall by 5.8 inches (14.9 cm) wide. The total weights is 1830 gram. They are tarnished and have oxidation and surface wears and scratches... light wood, white pigment, hands in praying gesture, collection number "AJP996" at the back of the head, min. dam., minor missing parts, fine cracks, breakages (right shoulder/leg), traces of insect caused damage (above all at the bottom of the base)

Bi faced "ghurra" (churning rod holder) finely carved to represent a back to back, squatting, human couple, man opposite woman. Wood, with nice dark brown glossy patina. The ghurra was carved in Nepal, and is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Its height (without the stand) is 22.7 cm. Very good condition. NOTE: The ghurra is a tool which has been used for centuries by Nepali people for churning milk into butter...
A stunning pair of Himachal Pradesh bracelets with double Makara heads. Made of high grade silver (acid tested) with details in green and blue enamel. Finely engraved details. Inner size: 5,5 x 4 cm. Outer size 7,3 x 5,5 cm. Weight 361 gr. Very good condition. Provenance: Collection Baobab, Amsterdam, collected in situ in the 1980’s. Private collection Amsterdam.

Three pretty silver dollar sized 1957 5 Rupee coin, commemorating 2500 years of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. The obverse side has elephants, horses and lions (oh my), surrounded by Hamsa (Sacred Geese), this motif is an adaptation from the Anuradhapura Moonstone, the other has the denomination in Pali and English. These were minted Condition circulated. Diameter: 39 mm, silver content: .925. weight: 28 grams. Prices on these seem to be all over the place $70 ea to $260 ea...
Mask used for household protection against evil spirits, with an unusual elongated form. Wood, age patina. Nepal, Gurung ethnic group, first half of 20th century. Height: 32.8 cm. Mounted on a custom stand. Some abrasion, otherwise very good condition.
Important and rare mask carved in wood fungus, of the tinder fungus type (fomes fomentarius), of rounded triangular form, with perforated oval eyes, incised mouth and nose in relief, probably added. Length: 30 cm. Height: 18.7 cm. The mask is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Very good condition.
NOTE: the tinder fungus is a parasite which grows particularly on the birch tree...
