$700.00 An antique Tibetan painted wood image depicting the Female Bodhisattva Green Tara (Sanskrit: Syamatara; Tibetan: Dölma) seated on a lotus throne in the posture of 'royal ease' with the right leg extended; the left hand is held in the mudra of blessing; the right hand extended across the right knee in the gesture of giving protection. Both hands are holding the stem of an utpala flower.

$2,500.00 Antique Himalayan tall yak butter lamp. Made of hand hammered copper with gilt bronze applied details depicting Buddhist auspicious symbols. The butter would have melted and burned for a measured amount of time depending on the size and the amount in the lamp. A small hole in the bottom of the cup would have held a sort of wick to provide a long lasting light. Overall repouse details are in great detail. Original patina...

Constructed from steel it is a very strong weapon. The chiseled blade widens in thickness towards the tip to strengthen it when used against chain mail or armour... Statue of a sitting protector, with squarish features, his hands in praying posture. Strongly eroded wood, with remnants of kaolin on some areas. Nepal, 19th C. Height: 39 cm. The statue is mounted on a custom stand. NOTE: collected in 1974 by its former owner.

SOLD Very rare Pair of original Antique Himalayan Chitapati bronze Skeletons once used in important Himalayan rituals. Depicted as male and female, standing with grimacing countenances, Condition is constant with age an natural worn from use. Mounted on custom bases for presentation.
Citipati known in Sanskrit as (चितिपति) is a protector deity or supernatural being in Tibetan Buddhism and Vajrayana Buddhism of India... Small "ghau", the front side, made of bronze, is decorated with a foliage and lotus design, the box itself ans its lid being made of copper with bronze handles. The "ghau" contains a tiny bronze statue of Bodhisattava Manjusri and textile. Fine age patina. A leather cord allows attachement of the "ghau" to a belt. Tibet, 19th century. Very good condition.
