This old vintage brass pendant has a seated Buddha detailed on the front with good stone work. The back of the pendant depicts a double has dorjie. Measured on the diagonals...2.5 inches x 2.75 inches.

Unusual Jackwood paan (betel) tray with well carved Kandy style floral medallion in the center, this motif also emulates carvings on pillars in some ancient temple. The WHO advised the Sri Lankan government against the chewing of betel and it is now illegal- that is not to say that this really stops people from still doing it though. A North Indian steel Katar, known as a push or punch dagger. 19th century.This form of weapon is found only in India and was considered to be a high status weapon.

Constructed from steel in one piece it is a very strong weapon. The deeply fullered blade widens in depth towards the tip to strengthen it when used against chain mail or armour.

Just over 40cm length, the blade is 24cm (and sharp!) Good condition. It has an old armourer’s brazed repair to one arm...

The larger one is an Araimudi, in the shape of fig leaf and was by worn by young village girls to protect their “modesty”, the smaller one was probably worn as an amulet with a granulated image of a feminine deity. This antique Tibetan neckace bronze pendent has a cast bronze pendent with coral and turquoise beads. The pendent is suspended from a hand made chain.

Tibetan Silver hand made Bangle Bracelet, 1" high, 2 1/2" 2" wide inside, 1" wide opening, with 6 Tibetan Characters and the weight is rather heavy. The condition is very good.

This antique necklace consists of large bells alternating with (symbolic) lotus pods. The bells are roughly 1.5 inches long. Though it has a hook closure, it is long enough to slip over the head of the wearer...Really fun to wear but not to the opera. It is made of low grade silver which was commonly used by various tribal groups throughout Central Asian, and the Far East. The filigree work on the bells was most common to Northern India, Himalayas, Nepal.

This woven Tibetan container would have been used to hold a pair of wooden tea bowls...there is an interior separator (removable) which allows for the separation of tea bowls. Hand made using plant materials (hemp) and rattan with leather closures Bowls would have been packed into container such as this when traveling... and from the condition of this one...it has traveled many times. The container is 6 inches diameter at the top and 4 inches high...well aged fair condition...

Tibetan Himalayan Buddhist Copper and Brass Prayer Wheel, with Bamboo handle supported by round Shell Disc, 17" high, 3 1/4" wide, Paper Scrip is inside the drum, copper cap wrapped around the tip of Bamboo handle at the end of the handle, the condition is good. This piece was in the private collection since 1990, purchased in Lhasa during their trip.

The patachitra, the folk painting of Orissa, has a history of great antiquity. The 'Patachitra' paintings exhibit the use of strong line and brilliant colors. These are religious paintings which cover themes and events from Indian mythology and Puranas and are mainly made on silk or on old cotton glued with paper.

This is a bronze miniature figure of Sri-Lakshmi, a Hindu goddess from 16th-18th century India. The figure stands in a sensual tribhanga pose on a round base over a square plinth. Her right arm is extended, and her left arm is raised with a lotus blossom.

She wears a long dhoti with incised foliate patterns and an elaborate pendant belt...
