Chinese porcelains decorated en grisaille (or “mo cai”) were commonly made for export markets, and are extremely rare to see in Chinese-taste form. This unusual and highly rare dish, however, was clearly made for the domestic Chinese market...

The seated lion modeled with open jaws, revealing their fangs and tongues, the bodie richly decorated with molded manes and breasts and legs, while their heads are applied with brown curly hair and eyebrows and their ears are veined as leaves. Decorated in Yellow, Green an Purple. Condition: Excellent condition. Measurement: high 25.3 cm = 10 in

Charming Chinese antique cast iron and enamel plate painted with a little boy holding a large fish and lotus flowers in his arms, scalloped rim decorated with flowers, the bottom is enameled white with blue and red characters around the rim, blue enamel four character mark on bottom, early 20th century Republic Period. Chinese Famille Jaune Ginger Jar, 8 1/4" high, 8 1/2"-widest area, 3 3/4" diameter-top rim, 7" diameter-bottom rim, made during late 1800's to early part of 1900's, thick overglaze Polychrome design on the entire body with Peony flowers and vines with Chinese Character in four(4) circle windows. Star crack on the bottom which stained over the years and scratch on the glaze on the raised decorated surface.

Straits Chinese silver hallmarked adjustable mesh belt with a three-part buckle decorated in low relief with a fish among flowers. The back of the buckle contains two hallmarks with Chinese characters (see enlargement 4). 19th century. High grade silver weighing about 8 oz. Measures 34" long from end to end. The three-part buckle is about 4 3/4" x 1 3/4." Very good overall condition with minor wear and a few tiny snags at the edge of the mesh...
