Chinese Tang dynasty YUE YAO with lotus flower shape bowl. Bowl have restorations at the rim. 17,3 cm diameter. 8,2 cm high.

Old nephrite chord fastener, this shape and style are usually associated with horse tack and bridles. This archaic style has been found in the Tang and Liao periods. L: 2.7cm/1.1in, W: 2.1cm/o.8in and 1cm/0.4in thick. 12 grams.

Tang/Five Dynasties, stoneware jar with light olive green glaze and reddish clay body. The foot is rimless and concave. There is a “Jun” type glaze run on the body noted in enlargements- probably unintentional but interesting nonetheless. I have done simple repair on the mouth by filling a shallow chip and applying a layer of gold leaf. H: 12cm/4.8in and D: 9cm/3.5in.

A very rare wood panel, covered with a white ground and decorated with a painting of a bodhisattva. This panel was found in a cave temple in the Dunhuang mountains in the Gansu Province. We acquired a group of six panels from a Dutch collector who bought the panels in China in the 1980's. Dimensions: 50x25 cm. Tang Dynasty (618-906).Wooden objects from this period are quite rare.

Good Tang Dynasty gray clay brick/tile depicting “Atlas” type, Yakshi figure seated on a lotus blossom. I was in Taxila, (cradle of Gandharan Civilization) and saw a similar figure. This illustrates the Greco/Roman influence in Tang art. The lotus shows indicates an obvious Buddhist connection. The left side of the face is molded a bit obscure, but no damage. An unusual piece, in that it is smaller than the other ones I have had- ergo cheaper shipping...

Beautiful image of Tang Dyansty noble woman or lady-in-waiting. Good condition no damage or repair. She is standing in relaxed natural pose, with a sweet face and complicated to coiled double chignon. H: 27cm/10.6in.

Small scroll painting on paper representing two Taoist gods, the one on top wearing a mandarin attire, holding a banner and riding a white bird, the one on the lower side in military garb, riding a tiger, holding a banner in his left hand. China, mid 19th century. Height: 42 cm. Obvious signs of great age, a few losses, otherwise good condition.

Delicate and rare Chinese Porcelain Polychrome Cachepot Planter with matching Base Saucer. Both have 4 Character Tao Kuang Period Markings (1822-1850). Planter has 2 holes for drainage. This rare piece, exquisitely suited for an orchid in bloom or special small plant comes with it's own fine and original hand carved rosewood stand as illustrated. Small tea or wine bowl? in Chinese hard porcelain. Decoration of vases and stylized emblems painted in hight fired cobalt blue for the contours and colored enamels with muffle fire. Mark of Emperor Ming Chenghoa, but produced in Jingdezhen in the 18th century, probably during the reign of Kangxi. Good condition. 70x36mm

A classic European motif teapot in sepia and gold decoration. The scenery showing a castle surrounded by smaller buildings. The black an gold decoration gives the view a mystical effect. Jian ware black glazed bowl with fine russet hare’s fur streaks. Southern Song dynasty. No chips or cracks but there are areas where the glaze from another piece had fallen onto it during firing- the "wabi sabi" is strong in this one, suitable for a Japanese Tea Ceremony.
