Chinese hanging scroll ink rubbing of an ancient stone carving featuring Quan Yin. Rubbing dates early 2oth century. Rubbings of ancient stone carvings are illegal in China as the process damages the stone. In very good condition, the rubbing measures 39.5 inches x 21 inches. Scroll measures 30" x 56" and comes in a bamboo container.

1930's Chinese Sterling Silver Tea Set Teapot with Flower & Phoenix Marked

The teapot is 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) tall by 7.2 inches (18.2 cm) wide. The cup is 1.8 inches (4.5 cm) tall by 4 inches (10.2 cm) wide. The saucer is 0.55 inch (1.4 cm) tall by 4.1 inches (10.5 cm) wide. They are 833 gram.

Chinese Ming Dynasty (perhaps older) stone head of a Buddha. Well carved with the face in a pleasant expression with beautiful lips and almond-shaped eyes, flanked by elongated earlobes.

Well-carved with the face in a pleasant expression with beautiful lips and almond-shaped eyes, flanked by elongated earlobes and his hair in a four leaf style, which is extremely rare. We never have seen that type of hair on the antique market before.

Chinese figure in polychrome sandstone of the Shiwan kilns seated in a slipper-shaped boat surrounded by ripples. China 19/20 century. Length 35cm.

Stoneware vase covered with a thick sky blue glaze stained with dark blue shades and purple spots. The base left unglazed reveals the construction of the vase, the very thick clay body and it seems to be made in 2 distinguished layers, one cream and the other brown. The vitrified glaze is very thick and runs in several places forming large drops. One of them was ground because, being too voluminous, it must have stuck the vase in the kiln...

A nice Chinese wine jug measuring 12" (30.5 cm) high, 11" (27.9 cm) diameter. This attractive example dates late 19th century. Beautiful dark brown glaze.

Rare and beautiful group of 120 Han Dynasty glass beads: 118 small beads, and 2 larger beads. A range of color from green to yellow and other that are calcified white with age. Some round and some foliate shape. A range of size from 5/16" to 3/4" wide. Strung together for a total of approx. 20" long strand. Han Dynasty (206 B.C. to 220 A.D.)

Made of black walnut with smooth natural finish, with special decorative elements such as lighter "ash" hardwood "keys", and "butterflies" on the inner leg to hold the natural fissures of the wood. Skillfully made with mortis and tenon joinery.
