The base is made up of several small wooden parts finely cut with flowers, scrolls and Greek motifs. The majority of the wood is dark brown, almost black, small inserted panels are made of boxwood, the barriers are made of bone. These barriers were tinted green, a color today almost completely erased by light and time, however more pronounced shades of green remain in the most sheltered places. This barrier is carved with plum blossoms, bamboo stems and pine needles...

The monkey is a symbol of rank and promotion. Here we see a kneeling monkey holding its legs. It has a warm glossy patina, some parts of the foot are missing. H. 5 cm.

Chinese Export "Hatcher" Shipwreck covered Blue and White Porcelain Paste Ink Box, Ca. 17th C., 1 1/8" high include cover, 2 1/8" diameter, underglaze blue Sun Flower design is very detailed under the slightly Celadon Green glaze, the fine brush strokes are very well done. This beautiful Paste Ink box was auctioned as one of the "Hatcher Shipwreck Collection" sale in June 1984 in Amsterdam by Christie's. A removable Chinese travel hat stand. Cut in the shape of two interlocking Lingzhi. Carved in a beautiful hardwood with a very fine grain. Good cabinetwork finish. Simple object but very elegant and rare. Beautiful antique patina of the wood. Difficult to date exactly in the Qing period. A six sided Nyonya bowl with three "gold" fish and sea plants for good luck. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Nonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: 15cm. H. 5.6cm. Condition: No repairs or chips. Some wear on the inside of the bowl.
