The work contains a seal and signature of the noted artist, Qi Baishi (1864-1957). A rare jade archer,s ring, which to me is the actual archers ring used with the bow and arrow rather then the better know thumb ring which is more a piece of jewelry. It was used on the thumb, that's where the "thumb ring" comes from and more than likely on a gloved hand due to the size. See the last three photos of a similar one in a Chinese jade book. A very rare Chinese jade of a stylized bird. The jade is translucent of a green and brown mottled coloration. Carved with a minimum of design giving an it a minimalistic, abstract look. It has large convex circles for eyes. The back has two interconnecting holes for passing a string through. The back has a naturally occurring hairline fissure of a dark reddish brown coloration. Has some calcification from long burial. Size: H = 1-3/8", W = 1-3/4"

A Han bird of an attractive translucent green jade with dark green 'peppery' streaked inclusions. Its squarish stylized shape is both simple and pleasing to the eye. It has an hole for stringing as a pendant..

Condition: Very good. There's a little roughness at the edge of one wing from age but it is not a break.

A Chinese archaic pale green jade sword chape carved on one side with four linear designs, the reverse with a coiled dragon, 5cms wide, Western Han dynasty (202BC - 9AD). A similar chape was sold at Bonhams London, 18/5/23, lot 28, Keverne collection. Another sold at Christie's New York, 17/3/16, lot 920.

A stone carved Han lion scratching his ear used as a weight. These weights were used to hold down the corners of tents and other tied down items.The ropes were tied to the leg that is scratching the ear. Size: L.20cm. W. 9.5cm.Condition: No repairs. Normal wear.

Hard Stone Bead Necklace 106 very hard green stone beads, 10 green turquoise (perhaps malachite) beads and 5 larger pink rock crystal beads. Mounted with silver filigree details and silk threads. China Qing dynasty. Difficult to date exactly. China 19th century or before.

Chinese hardwood Abacus, natural finish color, 1 1/4" high, 11 1/2" x 4 1/4" wide, numbers in Chinese Character in red in front and very large sign of the some Liquor store name in the back, the dovetail or butterfly joint work between back and the side frame, it is in good condition, no damage.

The everted flanges are joined to the end of the top and rail, and the spandrel is of two scrolling dragons carved in low relief. The legs of the table rest on horizontal feet. Between the legs are a carved pendant of double motifs of ruyi scepters and pair of scrolling dragons.
