$1,195.00 This is a large and heavy ancient Chinese nephrite scepter or adze.Measuring slightly more than a foot in length, the piece has two beveled ends, suggesting that it may have been intended for actual use, as opposed to a ritual item. As you will see in the photographs, there is a shallow groove that runs the entire length of the piece, possibly for attaching or securing some sort of handle (?). The stone itself is a mottled green and brown nephrite. Guaranteed ancient.

Each end tapers toward the middle where a "shoulder" ridge is present. The piece measures just under 7" in length and is 1-3/4" at the widest diameter. A Chinese archaic pale green jade sword chape carved on one side with four linear designs, the reverse with a coiled dragon, 5cms wide, Western Han dynasty (202BC - 9AD).

Chinese Tang Dynasty (618-906) Changsha ware pale yellow glazed ewer decorated with light brown-splashed glaze over relief molded leaf-form foliage designs on opposing sides beneath each of two loops. 9 1/4"H.
