A Chinese landscape painting done on a gold paper base done in the style of Zhang Da Qian. The work contains a signature and seal of Zhang Da Qian's noted disciple Sun Yunsheng (1918-2000). Zhang Da Qian established a style influenced from traditional Chinese landscape paintings combined with Song Dynasty style ink wash landscapes. Work is dated in June of 1975. Beautifully small painting of a woman and a man, the story being that the man married a woman of a much higher class. The man is crouched near a stream with tea cup in hand. An exquisitely beautiful woman stands at a table under a thatched roof nearby. Painted with a very fine brush in ink and mineral colors on silk. Signed Quan Jin d. 1990. Framed. Charming Chinese figure of a monkey with young monkey and a branch full of peaches carved out of beautiful orange agate, standing on an intricately carved wooden base also with peaches. Although there are earlier depictions of monkeys in Daoist texts, one more popular Ming Dynasty story from "The Journey to the West" tells of a monkey who steals a peach from the garden of the Jade Emperor. The monkey gains immortality from the peach but is banished to earth as his punishment...

Chinese Quan Yin from the second half of the 20th century. It is made of rare aromatic Cheng Xiang wood. The figure stands statuesque and unperturbed atop a turbulent sea holding a string of beads. The robes drape gently down the figure and almost flutter in the wind. It measures 16" tall, base 5" diameter.

Chinese censor made of copper, three legs, two looped handles, round bulb form, lovely mottled patina on outside, interior has green patina. Republic Period early 20th century. Size: 6" wide diameter x 5" high (including handles)

Chinese porcelain Bead Necklace, 24" long, 13 to 14mm(1/2" diameter) for bead with pink flower design in the green background, filigree gilded silver clasp and double knotted. All the beads are in good condition.

Pair of Chinese armchairs made all of beautiful honey colored hardwood, most likely huanghuali, each seat with six sides, very elegant lines with dowels for back and arms, mid 20th century. Size of each: 32 1/2" high x 27" wide x 20 1/2" deep.
