The both vase has marking of "Great Qing Xianfeng Year Made" (大清成豊年製)in blue underglaze. Xianfeng period was one of late Qing dynasty 1851-1861...

The work of the basketry is exceptionally beautiful quality, the bamboo fibers are very fine and perfectly woven. The mother of pearl inlays are of excellent quality and extreme finesse. Chinese stoneware jar with two loop handles, high neck with small, rolled rim, and flat bottom. The jar is amber glazed only at the upper shoulder with a few drips extending down onto the body. This vessel is likely an example of Guangdong ware produced in Fujian province. 7” diameter x 6 1/4" high. Probably dates from the Southern Song to Yuan (12th to 14th century). Very good overall condition. From the collection of a former American expatriate to Guangdong province in 1983-2984.

A Chinese White Glazed Snuff Bottle. Moulded as a reclining Dog of Fo holding a tasselled ball between its front feet. 19thC. Length 6.7 cm. Condition; normal light wear. Could do with a clean.

Chinese Red Lacquer Bamboo Bridal Food Basket, early 1900's, 15" high with handle, 10" wide & square, contains inner wood tray inside the lower compartment, high lighted with raise carved gold lacquered design on high handle, one metal butterfly is missing on one side.

An exclusive large belt buckle made from a silver alloy bordered by two elephants. The center mounted with a pierced jade medaillon showing a bird by two bolts ending in a flower, surrounded by four lion heads, turquoise and coral or carnelian cabochons. Dating to the 19th/20th century. Condition: traces of usage, one flower bolt with a small loss (please look carefully at the photos, they make part of the condition report). Dimension: c. 12.8 cm long x 9 cm high, weight: 155 g.

The City God is one of the important Gods of Daoism, he is a kind of guardian deity of the City, a heavenly magistrate responsible for the protection of the territory, the safety and prosperity of the locality. Temples dedicated to Chenghuang were built allover China and annual processions of the God were carried out. Ming Dynasty. H. 29 cm. Condition: Very good, just some wear to gilt.
