Made by a woman of somewhat limited means, this pair of lotus shoes date to the late Qing Dynasty. The vamp has a contrast of lavender and purple cotton fabric. Each toe is decorated with a delicate floral embroidery.
There is a round heal attached to the sole...
The shoes measure 5 inches.
They show a minimal amount of wear...

It is 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) tall by 10.6 inches (27 cm) wide. It is 1,768 gram. It has oxidation, rust, tarnished metal, loss of silver, one panel is missing a nail and loose, missing nails, small chips at the panels, missing pieces, firing holes, small gaps, and surface wears and scratches... Made by a women of the Miao minority often referred to as the "tiny Miao" ...not because of their stature but because they were recongnize for their "tiny" embroidery stitches...
This jacket was worn for festivals ...and shows some use...wonderful display piece and also could be worn by a small person....

A pair small Chinese porcelain jars with lids, each decorated with two foo dogs among peony flowers and scrolls in the "wucai" palette with underglaze blue. Bases without glaze. Rare to find a pair with matching lids and with so fresh colors. Including two later reticulated wooden stands. Dimension with lid: 14.3 cm high, on stand: 17.3 cm high. Condition: one cover with glued area and rim chips. One jarlet with minor kiln dust and the other jar with negligible rim fritting...

SOLD An antique pair of Chinese vases with lingzhi mushroom outcrops on a craggy rock platform. The lingzhi mushroom is a symbol of longevity and health. The platform could display an object. These wares originated out of kilns in the Shiwanzhen sub-district within the city of Foshan, going as far back as the Neolithic period. Each vase is pigmented with custard yellow and aubergine.
