This rare group dates from the early Tang Dynasty. It's made of grey pottery and it has traces of painting ( see the back of the cart ). The ox is very well proprtioned and was made with an eye for detail: notice the ring in the nose and the tail curved around its body. The cart consists of three parts; the weels come off. A lovely Chinese porcelain Kangshi Period polychrome dish. The edges are "flueted" in 4 places and the interior base features a garden scene with flowers, rocks, and a fence. In excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines. Measures 5.25 inches diameter by 1.25" high. Dates circa 1790
