A simple one line Chinese calligraphy attributing to Chi Xizhao (1793-1866). The calligraphy reads: The pure jade harmonizing with the gold with the pure wind in the forest of treasure. The work is dated to year of the water boar (approximately 1863), mid spring. Chi Xizhao was a noted Qing Period poet. Chi Xizhao was a scholar of the xueshi rank during the Jiaqing period. This scroll originally was one of a pair.

A sublime calligraphy scroll having a Chinese attribution. The rough and swift strokes of the calligraphy can be seen as if movement is caught frozen in time. The calligraphy reads as an auspicious poem where the poet is using the flow of water in relation to the spread and development of the family with generation after generation of children. Signed Xiuyang.

A rare Eastern Han (206 BC- 219 AD) jar with incised decoration about the collar area. All the features one wants to see are found on this rare artifact, such as root impressions, worm tracks, and traces of calcified (petrified) roots. This jar is not the typical molded type made for burial, but was actually used in real life as utilitarian ware for everyday use. The jar is in excellent condition and measures 6.5" high x 7" diameter.

A fine print, engraved by Isidore-Stanislas Helman (1743 - 1806) in 1788. The emperor Qianlong ordered in 1766 in France a series of copper engravings representing its conquests of 1755-1759 against the Eleuthes. Only a few copies stayed in Europe. To satisfy the curiosity of the public, the engraver Isidore-Stanislas Helman produced a reduced version. To an era where China fascinated the European public, Helman offered engraving by which he greatly contributed to popularize China in Europe...

A special Blue and White rectangular Qing dynasty snuff bottle with image of Qilin on one side and seated tiger on the other side, with coral lid. Dimensions: 2.5 inches tall by 1.5 x 0.75 inches.

Song Dynasty brown glaze jarlet with four ears. There is no damage other than the glaze degradation due to age. Cavities near base occured during time of its making. Dimensions: 3.5 inches high and 3.5 inches diameter at widest.

A very fine dark brown Yixing teapot with hand carved and applied branch and flower motif. It is signed both under the lid and on the base bottom. In perfect condition, No cracks, No hairlines No restorations, it measures 6" high, 5" pot diameter, and 8" across.

A beautiful camphor wood cabinet from China with fine carving and drawers/nice metal decor-fixtures. The main cabinet has 2 doors which slide inward along the sides for a computer, screen or TV etc. and the back side has a sliding wooden opening for electrical cables etc. Very nice condition, free standing, size: H. 178cm x W. 97 cm. x D. 66 cm. A finely crafted pumpkin shaped Zisha clay Yixing stoneware teapot decorated on one side with applied pumpkin vine decoration. This item carries three seal marks which all bear the name Shi Yu Zhen. Condition: excellent - no chips or cracks and no restoration. Song Dynasty green crackled Celadon bowl with a nice shape. There are certain imperfections which mostly appear to be occurrences at time of firing. On the inside of bowl, there is a pock mark / rupture that appears to have occurred at some point when perhaps a stone in the clay was compromised and broken out through the glaze. Dimensions: height 2.75 inches, diameter 5.50 inches.

Attractive 2-piece Chinese wooden display cabinet with glass doors and fine inlay work (see photograph # 3 for details). 19th Century, good condition. Size: H. 169 cm. x W. 102 cm. x D. 46 cm. ( 66.5" x 40" x 18").

An interestingly shaped four-sided vase, lushly decorated in the Kangxi famille verte tradition with birds amongst various flora...

Unusually large Sung Dynasty powder box / container with muted molded design on lid. Nice uniform glaze. Note, there is an apparent hairline on the outer portion of lid which appears only to some extent on the inside of lid. Also, there are a few small chips to the rim of the base section of the powder box. Dimensions: 5 inch diameter, 2 inches in height.

Goldenrod/yellow glazed vase with incised designs of butterfliesin a "yuhuchunping" or pear-shape. Signature on bottom. 20th century Size: 6.5" tall, 3.5" wide

Antique brush washer, hand-carved carved from nephrite (one of two species of jade) into the shape of a peach with leaves and a small bat. In Chinese culture, peaches symbolize longevity while bats are symbol of good luck. 18th century Size: 1.5" tall, 2.25" wide

Chinese Foo Lion carved on 4 corners and lacquered on wood x-cross shape folding display stand, 9 1/2" high, 15 1/2" cross-maximum measurement, 10 1/2" inside display area, center wooden pole is holding two(2) pieces together to make folding position, the wood split in some areas.
