Blue silk ground with embroidery in Peking knot and satin stitch, showing peonies and auspicious symbols. Bordered with later, patterned fabric and backed with silk. Condition: few small stains. Dimension: 58.5 cm long x 22.3 cm wide.
Worked in filigree silver and enamel, set with jade, tourmaline, garnet cabochons and a pearl. The reverse with a secure pin back assembly and a "silver" mark. Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Jar / Rice Measure
This small jar was made during the 13th - 14th century, during the latter part of the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), or possibly the following Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279 - 1368). Its form is often referred to as a "rice measure". It has moulded decoration around the shoulder and is coated in a finely-crackled blueish-green qingbai glaze save for the rim and base that remain unglazed. Diameter 8.5 cm, height 6 cm... A nice Chinese Qing dynasty Dehua Blanc de Chine white glaze stem cup with plum blossom decoration. Ht. 5.4cm. Condition: tiny chips to mouth rim, no restore, in good condition as shown. This pottery vessel was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220). It is made from a reddish pottery and, of course, gets its name from its cover that depicts seventeen peaks, interspersed with floral and small circular patterns. The vessel stands on three sturdy legs, each in the form of a bear. Its outer wall is further decorated with a pair of taotie mask handles and bands of surrounding grooves...
