This unusual pottery tripod vessel, or "ding", was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It is made from a grey pottery, relatively highly-fired, both body and cover having a distinct ring when tapped. $489.00 A very well painted Chinese hat stand. This would be considered transitional late Qing 1906-1911 to pre 1920, my guess is that it is just after the Qing period. The colors and enamel painting feature the God of Longevity with boys at play. Beautifully painted tree with flowers at bloom. The condition is perfect with exception of minor gold rubbing, other than that it is perfect and ready to display. Measures 11" high x 4.75" across
