Date: 19th century Qing Dynasty Dimensions: 2.75" X 1.75" Massive Chinese Qing dynasty baluster form lidded general’s helmet jar decorated in underglaze blue on a white porcelain ground with a Yuan inspired pond scene of ducks swimming among lotus. A ruyi-head border and four animal mask handles are high on the shoulder below the short neck. A lappet band extends around the tapering foot. The slightly recessed base is unglazed. $1,200.00 Pair of 19th century Chinese porcelain bowls with custom stands. In excellent antique condition, the dishes each measure 8.25" long, 6" wide, and 2.75" high. Displayed on the stand, it measures 6 inches high. There is one tiny chip to the rim which, if you look carefully, you can see it in the last photo. One of the stands is missing a small piece of wood, but it does not affect the stability of the stand. Rare to find such an attractive set of bowls...
Ancient mask of the traditional esoteric "Nuo" theater, representing the character of General Guanyu, wearing his helmet. Wood, with multiple superimposed polychrome pigments, meant to enhance the mask features, of which part is painted on paper glued to the mask. China, early 19th C. Height: 33 cm. Chinese Qing dynasty conjoined porcelain bottle vase with a globular body and long neck covered overall in a finely spotted monochrome tea dust glaze. The glaze extends down the spreading base to the unglazed foot. An old black collection mark is within an unglazed area at the center of the base. 7 1/2" high. Very good overall condition. Three small Chinese Guangxu mark and period ogee form bowls with lobed rims, each exquisitely decorated on the exterior in famille rose enamels with a quail standing on rockery below bamboo wrapped with leafy vines sprouting flowers and double gourds that extend over the wall to the interior well. A single bird flies above. The base of each bowl holds a six-character kaishu form iron-red Guangxu mark and of the period (1875-1908). 4” diameter x 1 3/4" high...
